Jody Kelley’s passion for technology began when she was an undergrad at Iowa State University (ISU) where she earned a degree in K-6 Elementary Education, minor in Instructional Technology and K-12 Athletic Coach.  After graduating, ISU offered her a teaching assistant position in the area of Instructional Technology.  She often used her oldest child, who was 4 years old at the time, as a guinea pig for her classes.

Jody has taught fifth grade for the past fourteen years at a rural PreK- 12 school.  She has started the first 3^rd-5^th grade technology club (Techno Nerds) at her school with over 55% of the 3^rd-5^th graders participating.  She has an ambition to learn how to create apps for Apple’s iPad and iPhone.  Jody then plans to teach her Techno Nerds how to create Apple apps for their classroom teachers.

Jody lives with her husband, Brandon, a high school math teacher, varsity basketball and baseball coach, and 9 year old daughter.  Her 20 year old son is currently attending Iowa State University and coaches JH basketball and volunteers at the varsity level with his dad.  Needless to say, we all support and share each other’s passions.
