In his role as General Manager, Rob Heitmeier is responsible for daily operations for PolyVision on a global basis. Prior to being appointed General Manager in November 2010, Rob served as CFO and Vice President of Support Services for PolyVision Inc. Prior to joining PolyVision, he served as the General Manager of Steelcase Contract Services for Steelcase Inc., and was responsible for developing and managing the business model used to support those customers that require a more direct relationship with Steelcase. Other roles he has held at the company include Director of Steelcase Financial Services and Systems, where he managed the corporate functions of payroll, property, accounts payable, and financial systems development, and financial controller of Seating, where he provided that business unit with financial analysis, consulting and budgeting. Prior to joining Steelcase, Rob worked at Smith Industries in Grand Rapids, Mich., from 1989 to 1993, and at United Technologies in Dearborn, Mich., from 1986 to 1989. Rob holds a bachelor’s degree in Finance from Michigan State University and an MBA from the University of Detroit.
